MindPlay's Scope and Sequence
MindPlay Reading Coach offers systematic, adaptive, and automated instruction through a mastery-based approach, individualizing learning to help students reach their full potential. It equips teachers with an essential tool for effective reading instruction and combines clear objectives, explicit instruction, and cutting-edge technology to engage and guide students through lessons grounded in proven learning principles, motivating them to succeed.
Kindergarten students are automatically assigned Phonological Awareness (PA) lessons as a foundational component of instruction before beginning phonics instruction. For students in Grade 1 and above, Phonological Awareness instruction is provided as targeted remediation when assessment data indicate a need for additional support in these foundational skills.
