MindPlay’s comprehensive reporting offers a complete and detailed view of performance and progress, allowing educators and stakeholders to make informed decisions. By encompassing all relevant data, it helps identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, ensuring that interventions and strategies are well-targeted. This thorough approach enhances understanding and accountability and supports strategic planning and resource allocation, ultimately driving better educational outcomes.
Class level reporting
The Teacher Dashboard offers a comprehensive overview of class-level data, including student activity, including Lexile® level, reading level, coach interactions, and reading time. Teachers can select individual students directly from the dashboard for more detailed student information.
Student level reporting
The individual student data shows the student's Reading and Lexile® levels compared to the class average, with grade level gains since the first assessment. When a teacher selects an individual student, they will access the student's Foundational Skills Profile and detailed information such as minutes spent with the coach, total reading minutes, Lexile® level, and the books the student is reading.
Foundational Skills Profile
The student’s skills profile provides detailed insights into each student's skill development. By outlining individual strengths and areas for improvement, the profiles serve as a valuable tool for personalized learning, ensuring that educators can tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of every learner. This comprehensive approach emphasizes the importance of using data-driven strategies to support student growth and success. Teachers can view detailed information on the student’s progress, including:
- Errors: Includes the activity type, expected response, student’s actual response, and the date of the attempt.
- Levels Seen: Tracks the number of levels the student has been assigned for the targeted concept or skill.
- Growth: Measures the percentage increase in the student's performance over time.
- Time and Date Range: Displays the date range and total time the student has spent working on the skill or activity.
The Foundational Skills Profile will update any time a student takes an assessment in the Universal Screener, Progress Monitoring, and Dyslexia Screener.
How often is the data updated?
Average growth data is updated every 2 weeks on the 1st and 15th of the month. Assessments taken between the 1st and 15th will appear on the 15th, while those taken between the 16th and the 30th/31st.
